<note>This book explores the prospects of mission in India; while doing so, it lays down the pathways of mission. The present situation of India is challenging to continue our mission, thus the Catholic Church cannot immerse itself in past glory, but has to emerge with new ardour, zeal and enthusiasm to live our missionary life with a new orientation. Priests, religious and lay catechists and youth have a special role to play in finding new pathways of mission. Missio ad gentes was and is our missionary commitment, but with the given understanding of various cultures, languages and peoples in India, our mission has to be mission inter gentes as well, and both aspects are important in living our missionary discipleship and doing our mission. The articles of this book explore this orientation in various perspectives. This book has seven articles and each one of them is focused and elaborate on a particular theme. The authors are well experienced in their field and have academic and experiential acumen to elaborate the pathways of mission in India.</note>
